Veronese tank

The delegation Bigusto Food, finally reunited in Verona, and went for an unexpected visit to the historic tavern "The tank".
In the past we had to give up this mission to turn to closing time or leave it. This time, however, we succeeded in our aim: a good omen.
The tank is a local proceeds from those who were once the stables of Can Grande della Scala, lord of Verona. We remain impressed
considerable height of the ceilings, at least 5 or 6 meters. The decor is rustic, with wooden tables larger or smaller. A model of the famous tank of Leonardo da Vinci, which gave its name to the club, makes a fine show itself on a belief.

We settle and make our choice between the dishes offered on the menu, but very few "local" as the famous "Pastissada de Caval.
Our choice falls on a plate of cold cuts, and then continue with cod Vicentina with polenta and sliced \u200b\u200bbeef with red cabbage.

Accompanying these hearty dishes, two glasses of Valpolicella Superiore Masi Campofiorin. Just to be safe! The selection of regional and national wines was still good.
To finish, a tiramisu the House, consigliatoci by the owner: a really good suggestion.

With dialectical skills of a member of the delegation, we had the privilege of access to the historic wineries: a large underground room built of stone, covered by a barrel vault resting place, among other wines, bottles of Amarone waiting to be chosen by some gourmet customer.

A chat with the lady at the counter and the account (with a discount, but absolutely nothing in the media and salty) ended our excursion.
Highly recommended for lovers of authentic local and traditional word of Delegation Bigusto Food!
